This intensive one day*, all you need to know, training course will guide you through Information Asset Owners' and Administrators' roles and responsibilities including daily tasks and key issues. The course covers: - the value of information assets and the benefits they bring; - key principles of information management; - key principles of data protection; - Information Asset Owner's roles and responsibilities (including responsibilities under Police information and records management Code of Practice, and Surveillance Camera Commissioner's Code of Practice, where relevant); - who supports the IAO; - daily tasks and key issues for the IAO; - identifying information assets; - identifying and managing information risks; - overview of the relationship between Records of Processing Activities (ROPA) and the Information Asset Register (IAR); - what the ROPA and IAR include; - data flow mapping, how to do it and why it matters; - information asset management assurances, what information are you looking for and how to ask questions to find information; - analysing the ROPA and IAR and taking continued action. *Please note, this course covers a lot of content at a fast pace. The training can be split into a 2 day training session for those who prefer slower pace and more time to digest the information. Please contact us for more details on this and to book.
